Can't Wait...

To get started! Hanami is spectacularly beautiful.

Question: are all of you knitting it as written? Is anyone doing the altered version with the provisional cast on and just doing the cherry blossoms?

I can't decide which way I'd like to go. Of course, I could do both ;)

I would like to finish my MS3, first though. (And some of the other things on my needles. Ahem.)

This should be fun!

I seem to have too many things on my needles, as well. AND I've been seriously tempted to start MORE things. I've just gotta finish something. Anything.

Welcome to the KAL!

For now I'm going to knit the stole as written, but I'm likely to make one of each of the alternates soon after.

I have so many UFOs. It's embarrassing. *blush*

I don't know if she's part of this KAL or not, but there's at least one knitter on Flickr who's posting photos of her Hanami-in-progress using the blossoms-only modification: Breibeest's Hanami-tagged photos are here. It's a very pretty option!

I'm just getting into the blossom phase of my own Hanami. I can tell you that, at least for the section where the blossoms are few and far between, it's much, much faster going than knitting the basketweave. Not sure if that will continue to be the case as I get into the denser blossoms...

I'm knitting it as written. Have done 5 of the 7 repeats of the basketweave section and have put it aside to work on MS3. Looking forward to getting back to it. It's beautiful!
