Chugging along on repeat #5. Is anybody but me worried about the length on this piece? This is the 1/4 mark and it looks to be shaping up more like a long (abet a beautiful) scarf. Unfortunatley, I only have the amount of yarn that the pattern notes give, so adding repeats will not be possible.

I know blocking will add a lot of length, and I really SHOULD have blocked my swatch out. But with having 5 yds less yarn per the ball band than the pattern notes show, I didn't dare risk it.

I knit the Hanami with the recommended yarn and needle size, and although I did lengthen it slightly, I had about 1/4 to 1/3 of a ball left (at least 110 yards). Obviously, results will vary, depending on your yarn, needles, and gauge -- but at any rate, I think you'll be okay.

There's a picture of me wearing my finished product here, if you want a sense of scale. I'm 5'6", if that helps. (I did lengthen the stole, but only by about 20 rows.)

I thought the same about my MS3 but when I blocked, it turned out to be just the right size for me. (I'm 5'6".)

I know that blocking will change everything, but when I'm in the process of knitting lace, I tend to second guess myself more than I do with other types of projects.

I mean, you can try a sock on or measure a sweater back against the sweater that you love the fit of to be sure that it's working, but lace is a lot more of a gamble *G*. Thanks for the re-assurances.
