This is my swatch. It is done in Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud in the colorway Mist on size US2 needles. I am not sure if Ilike the way it looks. Are the "solid" parts too lacy??

I think I like the clear with white beads the best ;)
I agree with Cary - clear with white beads.
I like the clear w/white beads too; and, IMHO, it's more in keeping with the theme. I just finished up a bride's shawl white sparkle-y cotton with clear silver-lined beads (I borrowed Hanami's beaded cast-on/cast-off) It is subtle, but it's a great look.
I agree, the white ones are classy and go better with the theme and look.
OK, so I like the blue ones best. After all, the yarn has a blue cast to it. Besides, after the PITA it is to do the beaded cast-on, you want to be able to see the darn things in the end! Do either of your bead choices have an AB or rainbow finish on them? An AB finish would be very helpful if you choose to go with the colorlined white bead, esp. since there is a risk of the color wearing off over time due to friction or laundering in lined beads. Just a few more details to think about :-)
As to the look of your swatch, it's definitely not too loose or lacy. Do you knit loosely? I would have anticipated a using size 4 or 5 needle with Alpaca Cloud. I knit my stole with a US2 (3.0mm) but my yarn was *much* skinnier than Alpaca Cloud. If you don't knit loosely and you do opt for a size 2 needle, you may need to add extra repeats to achieve an adequate length.
Good Luck!!!
Kristina
I like the clear, too. It's actually quite similiar to the yarn and beads that I used. You must have excellent taste.
