This is my first attempt at doing a provisional cast on... it looks horrible. Can you share your favorite method ... point me to sites with photos, if you can. I was hoping to get going on the all-blossom version this weekend; it's intended for a gift so wanted to make this version first. (Clearly, I'll be bringing up the rear in this group... I can't even get started.)
Thanks!

I'm still swatching so you aren't the last.
I like this on, a crocheted cast on:

Here's the link to Knitting Help.com. This is where I go if I need help learning something new. They have awesome instructional videos.

Thanks. You've helped me out a bunch too!
Thank you all so-o-o-o-o much!!! These are all wonderful sites. I think I'm going to go with the crocheted-on-to-the-needle method; I'm pretty sure I can do that one & get an even cast on without too much practice (I'll try it when I get home from work). When I have more time, I'll practice the other versions.
Again, thanks *very* much!

I was going to suggest the knittinghelp.com website - love her videos. They've helped me learn several techniques, and I love seeing them in action, rather than steps in a picture. I used her videos to cast on provisionally yesterday! Yay - planned a post for later tonight. Good luck!
