Progress

I took this picture the other day when I was just a few rows into chart E. I'm finished now with everything but chart G which I just started this morning. I've been knitting like crazy, probably more than I should because my neck and arms are so sore! But I have a long time friend who is starting 6 mos. of chemo. I found out about this maybe just a few days after I cast on, and realized I wanted to knit this and get it sent to her, it seems like the color and pattern are just the thing to be wrapped in during such a health crisis. I'm really glad it's almost done, speed knitting is really intense. The color in the photo is off some. I'm using Zephyr Wool-Silk. The color is cassis, a beautiful deep rosy pink, in this photo, there's a lot more orange, which I think is both because it's on a brown background and because of the light in the room being kind of yellowish.
I loved knitting the basket weave and want to make another that is all basket weave. I think it's so pretty.

What a beautiful gesture for your friend. I am sure your gift will bring her comfort and always serve as a reminder of your love, friendship and kindess. You are such a sweet soul. The colorway is gorgeous!!!

Nah, I'm not really very sweet, but once it occurred to me to give it to her, I couldn't pretend I hadn't thought of it!
She has always been the one who does the most amazing things, like when our girls graduated high school, she made quilts for at least 6 of them. One of those women who always gifts everyone else, it was the least I could do.
I have been basking in the color, I knit the MS3 in a very pretty periwinkle, but by the end I was pretty tired of it, not the pattern, but the color or lack of saturation in the color. This pink has been a feast for the eye. I think that the Misti Alpaca was softer, (that's what I knit MS3 from) but this color really rings my chimes! I am going to use Malabrigo Lace next. way yummy.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing gift for your friend! Good healing vibes to her -- and to your knit-weary self...
